Calculation Logic

Core formula:

  • Risk amount = account size ร— risk percentage.
  • Stop distance = absolute difference between entry and stop-loss price.
  • Position size = risk amount รท stop distance.
  • Position value = position size ร— entry price.

Yes. If the asset has an entry price and stop-loss price, the calculator can estimate generic position size.

Why does stop-loss distance matter?

A wider stop means each unit risks more, so the position size gets smaller for the same risk amount.

Can it calculate forex lot size?

Not in the first version. Forex lot sizing needs pair-specific pip value and account-currency logic.
