How to Use

  1. Drag an image with a QR code into the upload area, or click Choose image to select a local file.
  2. If the QR code is on your screen, take a screenshot, return to this page, and press Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.
  3. The tool reads the image pixels in your browser and shows the decoded text or link.
  4. Click Copy result to use the value; if it is a URL, click Open link to visit it.

Example: click Load sample QR in the tool. It generates an EasyTools link QR code and decodes it through the same local scanner flow.

Core Features

  • No image uploads: QR images are read and decoded in your browser, not sent to a server.
  • Paste screenshots: Take a desktop screenshot, then press Ctrl+V or Cmd+V without saving a file first.
  • Drag or choose images: Scan common formats such as PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and BMP.
  • Copy text or open links: Copy decoded text in one click; URL results also get an Open link action.
  • Local after load: Once the page assets are loaded, QR decoding does not rely on a remote recognition API.

Calculation Logic

This scanner uses browser File, Clipboard, and Canvas APIs to read image pixels, then decodes the QR payload locally. The image is not sent to EasyTools or any third-party server, which makes it suitable for screenshots containing internal links, contact details, login URLs, or ticket information.

This version focuses on standard QR code images. It does not promise to repair badly blurred, damaged, or covered QR codes, and it does not claim one-dimensional barcode scanning.
